An interactive Installation by Factory Fifteen depicting visions of the future of the UAE for the Dubai Expo 2020. The idea was to design 4 animated future worlds relating to key innovations happening today and hide them behind an interactive mirage.
The result was an explorable surface that engaged people in uncovering animated future scenarios. The piece was used as the final exhibit within the space and it proved to be very popular.
I was responsible for the interaction and for animating the mirage effect and curtain/reveal effect. The full body tracking was achieved with an array of 4 Intel Realsense cameras suspended above the screen. The tracking and visuals app were built using openFrameworks.
